Being more organized is the first step to being effective and productive. Using your time wisely will help you have more time on your hands to hang out with your family and friends and take on new hobbies.
In this blog, you will find some tips to keep your mind clear and improve your life.
The first step to organize your time is to have a clear space. Go ahead and declutter your desk, choose the pens you want to work with, buy those highlighters, washi-tapes and stickers to make your planner colorful and aesthetic looking. Get rid of the papers you dont need that are just laying around.

The next step is to use a planner and set a clear agenda for the week. Sundays nights are the perfect time to sit down, put on a show or a Netflix movie and write a to-do list for the week. Write the events you need to attend, the classes you need to go to, the assignements you need to write, and their due date.

Then take your plans and fill in the days, writing only the priorities, keeping some time free, and next to the tasks you can add notes using post-its to write that the assignement needs 2 hour and that the event has a dress code. Those notes will help you reduce the stress of forgetting them and organize your thoughts.

The third step is to leave time for rest. Don't be too hard on yourself and work 24 hours a day, you have to set times for break to take care of yourself, recharge your batteries and be ready for another day of work. It's not doing more, it's doing better. To boost your energy, you have to sleep at least 7 hours each night. Go on a walk, grab a cup of tea every 2 hours of work to leave your mind focused. Reasearch proves that a distraction is likely improving your work dramatically. Taking breaks refreshes the mind, replenishes your mental ressources.

The last step is to fill your morning with the time consuming tasks.
"If it's your job to eat a frog, it's best to do it first thing in the morning. And If it's your job to eat two frogs, it's best to eat the biggest one first." Mark Twain once said.
The point is uou have more energy in the morning to do the hardest tasks. Crossing off a big task off your to-do list is a big relief that comes with a feeling of accomplishement you can enjoy all day. Push yourself to be a morning bird, set a morning routine and compare the amount of work you get done. You will realize you've been doing it wrong, and sleeping until noon isn't your greatest idea.
